PROJECT SUMMARY:
Extension and staged refurbishment of Queensland Xray’s existing Bayside practice, including the construction of the new purpose-built PET facility within the adjoining tenancy.
Structural modifications required to facilitate the works included slab trenching for new hydraulic services, formation of a new opening through the blockwork intertenancy wall and replacement of the existing bifold shopfront with new glazing and automatic entry doors.
The PET fitout included extensive blockwork, specialist shielding and complex services coordination, delivering five uptake rooms, a stress room, control room, PET Scanner room, hot lab and hot waiting area
During the refurbishment of the existing practice, careful staging and sequencing of the works allowed QXR to continue operating day to day. The works included a new staffroom and MRI wait/change area, additional ultrasound room and new reception and administration area and finishes uplift throughout.
