2023 QLD 40 Under 40 – First Among Equals Award
Leading change in construction – and recognised as Queensland’s top young leader, Nicole was named the inaugural winner of the First Among Equals Award at the Queensland 40 Under 40 Awards. She was recognised for her leadership in construction, her commitment to increasing diversity in the industry, and her drive to bring sustainability and innovation to every project. As part of this recognition, Nicole also served as an ambassador the following year, continuing to mentor and inspire other young leaders.
AIB Professional Excellence Award – Queensland & National (2023)
Hayley received both the Queensland and National Professional Excellence Awards in Interior Fitout for her leadership on the Queensland X-Ray Beenleigh project. Delivered in a live clinical environment, this $1M+ expansion and refurbishment required meticulous staging to ensure the practice stayed operational, ensuring zero disruption to vital imaging services. Hayley was praised for her outstanding communication, careful cost management and ability to hand over a high-quality, defect-free project — one that staff, patients, and referrers immediately valued.
AIB Professional Excellence Award – Queensland & National (2024)
Karl was recognised at state and national level for his delivery of the Panorama Radiology, Bundall project. This $2.7M transformation converted a disused ice-skating rink into a cutting-edge radiology hub, complete with MRI, CT, EOS, X-Ray, ultrasound, dental and cardiac facilities. The project demanded major structural reinforcement, radiation shielding, and extensive services integration. Panorama Radiology commended BELNIC’s “exceptional communication, cost transparency and attention to detail”, with the facility now serving as a cornerstone of healthcare on the Gold Coast.
AIB Professional Excellence Award – Queensland (2025)
Karl once again received top recognition for his delivery of the Cancer Radiology & Therapy (CRT) Southport project. This highly regulated healthcare build required specialist knowledge in radiation shielding, structural reinforcement, and strict compliance with healthcare accessibility and safety standards. Karl’s meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder coordination has positioned this project as a benchmark in specialist healthcare construction
AIB Building Professional of the Year – Queensland (2025)
In 2025 Karl also received the highest individual honour from the Australian Institute of Building: Queensland Building Professional of the Year. This accolade recognises not just one project, but Karl’s consistent leadership, technical expertise, and contribution to raising industry standards in specialist healthcare construction.
